We here at Vino & Vinyasa are still reeling from the wonderful time we had last Saturday at Left Coast Cellars. Our debut event accomplished everything we hoped and so much more. It was such a delight to chat with all of our guests as we shared the five “E”s: Escape, Entertainment, Education, Enjoyment and Experience!

And the best part is the fine folks at Left Coast have invited us to host another one-day retreat in September. We are going to fine-tune our time line, offer some new wine selections and we will announce the date as soon as we settle on one. Thank you for supporting our efforts.

I hate to admit it, but over the past week I’ve been stressed out by yoga. Not actual yoga, mind you, but the lack of yoga practice coupled with the pressures of organizing our debut Vino & Vinyasa event. From sending press releases to confirming reservations, I felt like I was spending every waking moment in front of my computer.

I knew this wasn’t the way things should be, so I forced myself to take a 20 minute break; time just for myself. I grabbed my yoga mat and headed for the backyard. Somewhere between the Downward Dog and Warrior asanas I became acutely aware of bird songs and the sound of the gentle breeze rustling the fir trees. I took another deep breath and let the sunshine wash over me.

Suddenly, my mat transformed into a magic carpet of solitude and peace, and I remembered exactly why Nichole and I began this endeavor. I hope everyone who attends one of our yoga classes can experience that same moment of zen.

The first press push for Vino & Vinyasa has been launched! Whew, it’s been a long day in front of the keyboard, writing press releases, editing photos, uploading info to online calendars, putting together a Facebook page, and I can’t even remember what else.

So far we have scored seven reservations for the 30 spots available at our July 11 debut at Left Coast Cellars. Book soon if you want to make sure you get a place. I know you are going to have a fantastic time because there’s a bunch of people working hard toward that goal.

Now it’s time to visit some more vineyards and get some more confirmed dates on the calendar. It’s going to be a busy and blissful summer!
