Vino & Vinyasa yoga and wine retreat at Left Coast Cellars
Salem, Ore. (June 10, 2009) – Vino & Vinyasa is pleased to bring the restorative power of yoga to the outdoor beauty of Oregon’s wine country through our partnerships with the Willamette Valley’s finest vineyards. From the ground to the glass, Mother Earth nurtures the grapevines as our guests nurture their souls.
Saturday, July 11, 2009 the debut of our one-day vineyard retreat embraces the restorative combination of wine and wellness. Nichole Taylor, a Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Teacher (200 hour level) and an ACE Certified Personal Trainer, will guide students of all fitness levels through revitalizing open air yoga and meditation sessions in the Left Coast Cellars Tree House Pavilion. Vino & Vinyasa also features a healthy breakfast focusing on local products (including CKC Catering’s hearty “That Oatmeal”), and a private, guided walking tour of the vineyard property before concluding with a light, wine pairing lunch.
Cost is $55 per person, $49 for Left Coast Wine Club members. Space is limited to 30 people; must be 21 years old. Advance registration is required; payment accepted online at www.vinovinyasa.com or in the Left Coast Cellars Tasting Room (open daily, 12 pm-5 pm) at 4225 N Pacific Hwy/99W, Rickreall, Oregon, 97371.
Additional retreats are being scheduled throughout the summer season. This isn’t the first yoga and wine event, but no one in Oregon appears to have taken it out of the wine shop or studio and into nature.
About Left Coast Cellars:
Through continued sustainable farming practices, Left Coast Cellars seeks to give back to the earth. Thanks to the largest USDA grant awarded in the state of Oregon for renewable energy, we have installed a series of solar panel arrays that provide virtually all of the electrical needs for the estate. Woodland restoration, various crops and an extensive recycling program are all being worked on at this point to expand our approach to sustainability. We see these latest efforts as small contribution, a thankful gesture to the land that we treasure at Left Coast Cellars.
